WHO WE ARE

INTELLEKTRA engages in the development and delivery of E-Learning audio-visual multi-lingual content on a variety of topics and subjects.

The need to create such a company arose from the extensive experience of INTELLEKTRA's founder in the IT and Management field on the African and Middle East continent. Therefore, our products and solutions address the challenges which the African continent, namely the CEWA region (Central East and West Africa) face on its path to becoming a successful growth market.

Some of these challenges are:

* Access to quality training is still a big challenge in Africa. Where training does exist, it is associated with a relatively high cost preventing individuals as well as corporates from engaging into effective and efficient learning.

* The risk associated with doing business in Africa is still relatively high with complex immigration procedures involved in getting a trainer or instructor physically present on the ground.

* The banking and financial systems and infrastructures are still at its early stage preventing the majority of people from having proper online credit cards for online purchase. Our business model works by having local representation in all these countries to cater for local requirements and in-country billing.

* Multiple languages and cultural differences are prominent factors in Africa and therefore training should be adapted accordingly. Our products and solutions are built in English and French as well as local languages if required.

* Multi-nationals and conglomerates are setting up business in CEWA, and training for their employees needs to occur across multiple countries, multiple locations in mass. After the recent economic downturn, the multi-nationals are very cautious in their investment in training and looks forward for a cost-efficient model of training delivery. Besides, history has taught us that in any cost-reduction scheme of an organisation, the training budget is generally the first one to go given its size.

* The Internet bandwidth and infrastructure in Africa is still at its early stage. Internet bandwidth is still seen as a challenge for the years to come especially for landlocked countries where their access to underwater Internet fibre connectivity is limited. Therefore, any attempt to implement E-Learning training should be adapted to these infrastructure conditions.

To address those challenges, the founder of INTELLEKTRA created the RED™ methodology - an efficient methodology which allows us to quickly build lightweight E-Learning products by using a combination of tools and techniques.
